NFL Suspends Saints players for Bounty (Prt.2)

These suspensions will have an astronomical effect on this football club, although two of the 4 players are with other teams, the Saints are still left now in the worst possible shape, the draft is passed, they are without their head coach, without their GM, have yet to come to agreement with their franchise quarterback on a new deal and now they have lost the core of their defense. This is the worst possible situation for this team right now, but no matter how Saints players and fans feel about it, it is the right thing, you cannot let something like this just slide and these people need to be made all examples of so that these ridiculous actions never repeats again. NFL Suspends Saints players for Bounty (Prt.1)

Normally the NFL offseason is time to get excited over the upcoming draft and the new season, to check in to free agency and follow your favorite players on their down time, but this past offseason was everything but that. The NFL has been pounded with rumors and facts regarding a mountain of different topics, all leading back to their main focus of player safety. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has made it crystal clear that safety is the main concern, facts of that can be seen in the player suspensions during last year’s regular season for hits to the head and things like that. Regarding the scandal of the Saints Bounty program, the NFL has already placed head coach Sean Payton on a one year suspension, Defensive coordinator Greg Williams on a permanent suspension and Saints GM Mickey Loomis will also miss a few games this coming year. The fight for 3rd in the NFC West

Battle for the third spot in the NFC West between the Arizona Cardinals who are currently 3 and 7 and the St. Louis Rams, who are trying to climb their way out of last place with a record of 2 and 8. Earlier in the season the Rams traveled to Arizona and took the game to overtime, but they lost by a last minute field goal from Cardinals kicker. With a win there the Rams would have won their second game in a row and that has not happened since early last year. Neither of these teams are playing well, poor defense and worse offense, the QB protection is nonexistent and this is the type of game that go either way. In the offense, the Rams would have the slight advantage because of all star running back Steven Jackson, who has had sparks of his old self, but mostly getting low yardage on high power runs, which tires him out quickly and the 4th quarter are usually a passing game. Are the curses real…?

The “Madden curse” refers to a well known video game by EA Sports, the game is NFL-based and named after former Raiders head coach and long time TV football analyst John Madden. It started in 1989 and the original name was “John Madden football” know it goes by the name “Madden NFL” since EA Sports signed a licensing deal with the NFL in 1993. From the beginning through 1999 the game has had John himself on the cover, starting with “Madden 2000” the designers a long with John Madden decided to let the fans pick the NFL stare that will appear on the cover, which is updated every year.
