Young to the Bills…

Back in 2006 the Tennessee Titans drafted in the first round with the third overall pick a young QB out of the University of Texas named Vince Young, a great runner and someone that just seemed to fit the NFL QB part and given their past luck at the quarterback position. They were very excited to draft him, but as the pressure mounted and the games passed, Young never seemed to get comfortable in the game. His first season, Young played 15 games and through 357 attempts, completing 184 for just over 51% accuracy scoring 12 touchdowns. NFL Suspends Saints players for Bounty (Prt.2)

These suspensions will have an astronomical effect on this football club, although two of the 4 players are with other teams, the Saints are still left now in the worst possible shape, the draft is passed, they are without their head coach, without their GM, have yet to come to agreement with their franchise quarterback on a new deal and now they have lost the core of their defense. This is the worst possible situation for this team right now, but no matter how Saints players and fans feel about it, it is the right thing, you cannot let something like this just slide and these people need to be made all examples of so that these ridiculous actions never repeats again. NFL Suspends Saints players for Bounty (Prt.1)

Normally the NFL offseason is time to get excited over the upcoming draft and the new season, to check in to free agency and follow your favorite players on their down time, but this past offseason was everything but that. The NFL has been pounded with rumors and facts regarding a mountain of different topics, all leading back to their main focus of player safety. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has made it crystal clear that safety is the main concern, facts of that can be seen in the player suspensions during last year’s regular season for hits to the head and things like that. Regarding the scandal of the Saints Bounty program, the NFL has already placed head coach Sean Payton on a one year suspension, Defensive coordinator Greg Williams on a permanent suspension and Saints GM Mickey Loomis will also miss a few games this coming year. Free Agency rolls on in the NFL

The Chicago Bears made a few moves of their own this offseason; a few of those might of left their fans wondering why, while others left key players on the team wondering why too. Such is the case of the pickup of pro bowler wide receiver Brandon Marshall, who has had numerous on field as well as off field issues with teams and teammates, but they seem to think that a change in scenery and to be matched up with old QB Jay Cutler might help mold him a little better. NFL comes down hard on the New Orleans Saints

A few months ago a very secret and horrible piece of news was leaked to the outside world; the report indicated that for the last 3 seasons, the New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams ran a bounty for his defense, awarding individual players large amounts of cash bonuses, sometime reaching the $10K mark to deliberately injure or remove an opposing teams player from the field. The NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and the league have been on high alert for more than 2 years trying to make the sport safer, meaning they were much more severe when it came time to fine players or repeat offenders but when word came out about these bounties that the Saints were carrying out, the League launched one of its biggest most intense investigation to get all the facts possible.
