Top Class Field at The Players Championship as is the norm

Well what can really be said about The Players Championship other than it is one of the better tournaments played every year and it always has the top ranked stars. The tournament has been called the Fifth Major and some even say it is higher ranked due to the fact that it`s field is one of the best you will come across. The one thing that really catches my eye and of all the players who will be playing this week in Ponte Vedra is that the winner gets a nice $1,710,000 for playing golf four days and there is a grand total of $9,500,000 purse to be handed out. That is not bad considering you are playing for starters one of the best courses in the world and second it is in Florida and on top of that you have a chance to become even more of a millionaire. Open de Andalucia heading back to Aloha Golf Club

After three weeks in States the European Tour looks to get back to normal and what better way than to play in the Open de Andalucia which is played in Southern Spain so the weather should be perfect and for those coming from Florida the change in climate should not be too much. This event was first played back in 2007 and going by its name the event is always played in Andalucia which for those of you who don`t know is the most Southern region in Spain and is a place that is packed with golf courses and it`s a great play for tourists to come since there are so many courses and most of them are top class places. New World Number one Rory McIlroy looks to continue good form at Doral

Well I personally think it was about time that Rory McIlroy became the top ranked player in the World; we all knew he could straight up play and that sooner or later he would take that top spot. To me his game is so much better than most of the others out there and when Rory is playing his best I don`t think anyone can beat him, now does that sound familiar? That is exactly the same thing that could be said about Tiger Woods when he was playing his best, when Tiger was firing on all cylinders he was simply in a league of his own. Mark Wilson looks to repeat magic from last year`s win

What an exciting finish to this past week`s PGA Tour event in La Jolla, California there was no way that I would have thought it was possible for there being a play off for the title. When I was sitting watching the live coverage I told myself that Kyle Stanley was simply going to cruise to victory due to the fact that he had such a nice lead coming down the stretch but boy was I mistaken. When Kyle Stanley stood on the eighteenth tee he had a three shot lead and with a par five in front of him and given his explosive length I figured he might even hit the green in two and finish with a birdie to take the title in class. Rock proved too solid for Woods, can he continue his strong play

Once again Tiger Woods came up a little too short in order to win an official golf event, but it was not only his poor play Sunday that had a factor here it was also that Robert Rock just proved too solid for anyone to catch him. What surprised me even more was that Rock actually finished with a bogey on the par five last hole and yet he still won by a strike over Rory McIlroy. Impressive field ready for Abu Dhabi Championship

For an event that was only founded back in 2006 it can clearly be said that this tournament is one of the strongest fields you can imagine especially considering that it is not a major championship. The neat thing about this event is that you get the best players in the World here in the United Arab Emirates because first of all they get to play an amazing golf course and second of all there is a great purse that obviously catches the attention of the players. Can Bubba repeat at Torrey Pines this week?

Long hitting Bubba Watson will try to join the group of five players that have two wins at the Farmers Insurance Open, even if Bubba somehow managed to win this week he would still be behind the likes of Tiger Woods who has managed to dominate this event with a total of six wins and Phil Mickelson has won it three times. Tiger won`t be in the field this week since he will be competing in Europe, but Phil is in the field this week and he is looking to improve on his showing from last week where he finished tied for forty-ninth.
