Top Class Field at The Players Championship as is the norm

Well what can really be said about The Players Championship other than it is one of the better tournaments played every year and it always has the top ranked stars. The tournament has been called the Fifth Major and some even say it is higher ranked due to the fact that it`s field is one of the best you will come across. The one thing that really catches my eye and of all the players who will be playing this week in Ponte Vedra is that the winner gets a nice $1,710,000 for playing golf four days and there is a grand total of $9,500,000 purse to be handed out. That is not bad considering you are playing for starters one of the best courses in the world and second it is in Florida and on top of that you have a chance to become even more of a millionaire. Here comes the last round!

Because 8 rounds were not enough, the 9th and last round for the HSBC Sevens World Series is coming up. This tournament which is sponsored by HSBC banking was first organized in the 1999 – 2000 season and has kept its importance until now. Still a perfect record…

With still a perfect record at 43 and 0, this seemed to be the fight that pushed Floyd Mayweather Jr. to the breaking point; Miguel Angele Cotto made Floyd work for every round and had Mayweather on the ropes for a while. Mayweather prides himself with the ability to move faster than all others and has made a name for himself as the pretty boy, because he tends to end fights with very little damage to his face, but Miguel Cotto made sure that was not the case this time, he pounded Floyds face for the 12 round fight, given he also received a good beating, they both fought like gladiators in that ring. Defending Champions are out

Last season the Dallas Mavericks made it all the way to the NBA Finals, then beat the Miami Heat in 5 games to crown themselves as the best team in the league with their first franchise Championship. Beginning this last reduced season they had lost a few key players from their winning team but were sure they could me it back to the playoffs and make another run. It seemed that they played during the regular season with a bull’s eye on their backs, getting the best out of the other teams. A chance for the Spurs to sweep

This round one series between the Spurs and the Jazz has been pretty one sided since the beginning, although the Jazz have had their moments, their lack of experience is obvious and making things very difficult on the defensive side of the court, where the Parker had simply been unstoppable these last few games. But now with their backs against the wall on their home court it´s time for the Utah Jazz to make a stand and show their fans that they deserve to be in the postseason and want to make interesting; only 13% of teams down 3-0 in the first round have come back and advanced… Will the Jazz become that Cinderella team? NBA´s most Improved Player

Drafted back in 2008 with the 21st pick in the first round, the New Jersey Nets selected a 6 foot 10 inch power forward out of California named Ryan Anderson. Anderson had played 3 years of college ball and was a routine starter on the team, then, after being selected by the Nets he played his first season, appearing in 66 games and starting 29 than in 2009 he was then traded to the Orlando Magic where he would pick up his NBA career deep on the bench. That season Anderson played in 63 games but only averaged 14.5 minutes and of those 63 games, he only started 6 which really put him at a low, he would push through it and always put the team first and it got a little better in the following year, he played in 64 games and started 14 with about 22.3 minutes on average. New York Mets look to strike first against the Phillies

These two teams don’t have the best of blood for one another, last season the Mets only won 7 of the 18 games they played, interestingly enough, every time they would play, the Phillies would either lose the first game and win the last 2 or the opposite, but they always won at least two back to back. The New York Mets are also going through a little drought over the last four games, after getting swept by the Astros and losing the first game to Arizona, they are looking to get their offense going a little bit more. Mariano Rivera out with torn ACL

He is referred to as one of the best closers in baseball and is known throughout the league as “MO”.Mariano Rivera has been the Yankees number 1 closer since 1995 and he leads all pitchers with 608 regular season saves as well as 42 postseason saves in his career. The Panamanian pitcher is known for his amazing slider and fastball; he has struck out more 1119 players and is the all-time leader in games finished at 892. Spurs look to stay perfect this postseason

The Jazz must find a way to stop Parker or at least slow him down, it seems that the Spurs point guard is doing with the Jazz what he pleases and every time they try to double team him, he is able to find the open shooter for a duce. Who would have thought the Miami Heat might sweep the New York Knicks this year on the playoffs? I think no one, because this was predicted to be one of the closest series on the whole first round matchups. The Miami Heat is just a whole galaxy, with a star on every position on the court and a bench that might be the starting lineup of another team on the league. The New York Knicks have played some of the most physical basketball during the shortened regular season but they have proved to be inaccurate when it comes to stopping the Heat’s offense and on their offense Carmelo Anthony can’t do it all.
