Sunday night football: Bengals @ Jets

Bengls-jets

The last Sunday night football game for the regular season will be played at the Giants Stadium, New York, against the home team Jets and the Cincinnati Bengals. This game was scheduled at 1:00 eastern first but due to the fact that we are handling a very important game, the time was changed and now they are playing at 8:20pm eastern. The game will be national televised on NBC and we already have the lines available for this game and the rest of the matches.

Cincinnati Bengals just clinched their A.F.C North title after defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 17-10 despite they barely won and didn’t play really good, besides, they were playing with a team that has only 3 wins in the whole season. They also won their fifth straight at home and earned 10 wins for the first time since 2005.

When Jim Caldwell took his starters out of the field in the 3rd quarter, Indianapolis was beating the New York Jets by 5 and they still were the only unbeated team in the season but right after that, the Jets took advantage of the situation and won the game 29-15 after scoring 19 unanswered points and playing on the road. They still got options to get thru the playoffs dance but they have to defeat Cincinnati in their last regular season game.

Bengals and Jets don’t see their faces so often. Since 2001 they have only played 4 times, 3 wins for the Jets and only one for the Bengals. The last time they played was on October the 12th, 2008 and New York won 26-14.

Texas Bowl: Missouri vs. Navy

The Missouri Tigers (8-4) and the Navy Midshipmen (8-4) will be playing against each other at the Texas Bowl, which turns to be one of the most famous bowls on the period. The venue will be the Reliant Stadium located at Houston Texas. The event will be starting at 8:00 PM ET and is going to be televised on NFL Network.

The Tigers ranked 109th in pass defense, but that shouldn’t be a concern against Navy, which ranks third in rushing but next to last nationally in passing. Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo is familiar with bowl games after directing the Midshipmen into bowl games in each of his three seasons as a coach.

Here we have some numbers from the teams in order to make easier the comparison between them and see with more accuracy who could win the game with the biggest odds. Talking about the total yards we can see that Navy has 351.9 yards, being located at the 80th place while Missouri has 417.2 yards, being located at the 32nd place. On the other hand, at the passing yards, we can see that Navy has 81.4 yards, being located at the 119th place while Missouri has 298.4 yards, being located at the 14th place. On the rushing yards, we can see that Navy has 279.7 yards, being located at the 3rd place while Missouri has 132.2 yards, being located at the 81st place.

The Midshipmen have won at least eight games every year since 2003, but this year’s schedule was supposed to be the toughest the Midshipmen have faced in quite some time.

Those feelings were assuaged in late October when the Mids defeated Wake Forest without their starting quarterback or slotback. They went on to defeat Notre Dame and currently have eight wins with a game against Army still remaining.
