This Saturday afternoon, the top teams of the MWC Conference, Boise State and TCU will collide in a game where the conference title will likely go to the winner of this match. It’s no secret how this teams “hate” each other, building a short term rivalry.

Kellen Moore will be on the spotlight this game, with everyone looking how he will play, but I think this game will be a high voltage defensive one.

The Broncos are undefeated this season, mostly because the great season Kellen Moore is having, passing for 2229 yards and connecting for 29 touchdowns, with a solid running game by Doug Martin and DJ Harper (1121 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns combined) on the backfield and a scary downfield offense commanded by Tyler Shoemaker and Matt Miller (1034 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns combined), but the Broncos are not all about offense, because their defense is ranked among the top 15 overall, putting an incredible pressure to the rival’s quarterback and stopping the run effectively.

TCU is having another good year this season, with a great running game leaded by Waymon James and Matthew Tucker, who have rushed for 1184 and 13 touchdowns this year, leaving lots of space and time for Casey Pachall (1940 passing yards and 19 touchdowns) to make all his throws and make better decisions on the field.

And their defense is pretty effective stopping the opponents, attacking the quarterback on almost every snap.

The Horned Frogs have an average of 451.6 yards per game, 41.6 scored points and 22.3 allowed. The Broncos have averaged 479 yards per game this year, with 43.9 points scored and 16.8 points against.

The spread for this game is Boise State -14½ and the total 58½.

Their last matches have been extremely close and tight with a very low score and both defenses have stepped up and delivered great games.

I don’t see how this will change for this game.

I see the spread too high for this new born rivalry and the total too high.

I see Boise State winning the game but not covering that spread.
