Saturday afternoon the Big Ten clash again with a thrilling match up between the Ohio State Buckeyes and Purdue´s Boilermakers, this game is interesting based of the history that these two teams have between them, last years game was a complete domination by Ohio State both on the offensive side of the ball as on the defensive side.

The Boilermakers where shutout 49 to 0 on by far there worst game of the season, Purdue has been somewhat erratic this season going 4 and 5 this season with noticeable losses to #18 Michigan and #20 Wisconsin and Notre Dame, but on the flip side they have a win over #23 Illinois as well as Minnesota.

This game will be a high flying match with what we can all expect as a relentless offense from the Boilermakers side to make up for the embarrassment of last seasons lose.

The Buckeyes, having gone through a crazy offseason, losing there long time coach and several starting players to NCAA disciplinary suspensions, have had and up and down game plan, working sometimes and killing them in others there are 6 and 3 this year, but looking back at there impressive 12 and 1 record no more then a year ago while also winning the Allstate sugar bowl against #8 at the time Arkansas, this season seems quit glum to say the least.

Braxton Miller has taken over has starting QB with a completion percentage of just over 51% he has 547 total yards this year with 6 td´s and 3 interceptions.

Leaning heavily on Carlos Hyde who on the ground is averaging 5.5 yards a carry and also has found the end zone 6 times.

Freshman Devin Smith as really come through 4 td´s on 227 yards and 10 catches.

Purdue is trying to find it´s way this season looking to end a 2 game loosing streak to ranked teams; they have struggled on the defensive side of the ball mostly, allowing other teams to score an average of 30 points against there 58th ranked defense.

In much need of help are there scoring options, ranked 74th in the country on offense, the Boilermakers score an average of just over 20 points.

Caleb TerBush has 1386 yards passing with 10 td´s as starting QB, but there lead rusher Ralph Bolden is only averaging 4.6 yards a carry and has seen the end zone only 3 times this year.

Antavian Edison has also had some receiving issues catching only 26 passes for 367 yards he has celebrated on 2 td´s all season.

Ohio State will continue there dominance over the short handed Boilermakers on Saturday, I just don’t see the weapons coming together after the 62 to 17 lose they suffered at the hands of Wisconsin.

The Buckeyes are currently 7 point favorites in this game and I think that it will be a smooth win over the lonely Purdue Boilermakers.
