Houston is having a dream season this year, leaded by the talented Case Keenum (3626 passing yards with 34 touchdowns), the senior quarterback who is giving the Cougars the top spot in their conference and the 11th place on the overall rankings. Week after week Keenum walks to be on Houston’s golden book of memories, crushing every defense he has faced this year. This team is all about him, and they relay their entire offense on Keenum, who gets an average of 400 passing yards and almost 4 touchdowns per game. Besides Keenum, they also have 2 escape routes just in case Keenum get too much pressure, on the ground they count on Michael Hayes and Charles Sims, who have contributed with 1004 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns combined. With these 3 guys, there’s no doubt why this team is on top of their conference and they march among the top 25 teams nationwide. Flipping the coin to the other side of this game we found the home team, the Tulane Green Wave being far from good, loosing almost every game this year and marching last in the Conference. This time is just too predictable on the offense having on Orleans Darkwa (652 rushing yards, 9 touchdowns) their only real threat and they have a null passing game, so if the other team blocks the run efficiently they are left with no weapons to score during the whole game. Houston averages a total of 617 yards per game, scoring 52.7 points per game and allowing only 23.4 against. Tulane has an average of 351.7 yards per game, 22.7 points scored and 36 points allowed. The line for the game has The Cougars favorite by 34 points and the total set on 71. Going by the stats only, I smell a slaughter coming and the victims don’t seem to have any escape here, take Houston and the total over here, Tulane just don’t have what it takes to defeat Houston.
