Glen Johnson will be fighting against Chad Dawson on November 7th at the Excel Arena in Hartford, Connecticut. For the fourth time in the last 19 months, 27-year-old Chad Dawson will face an opponent this weekend that is at least 13 years his elder.Glen Donovan Johnson (born January 2, 1969 in Clarendon, Jamaica) is a professional boxer, nicknamed Gentleman. He stands at 180cm, around 5’11″ tall. Johnson arrived in southern Florida from Jamaica at the age of 15. He would not begin boxing as an amateur until a few years later. Glen “The Road Warrior” Johnson was a late boomer of the sport, starting at 20 years old in Miami, Florida at an emerging police boxing gym. Johnson compiled an amateur record of 35-5 and was a two-time Florida State Golden Gloves Champion, once at 165 and at the other at 178-pounds.

On the other hand, Chad Dawson (born July 13, 1982 in Hartsville, South Carolina) is an American boxer and the current IBO light heavyweight champion. He was formerly trained by “Iceman” John Scully, Dan Birmingham and Floyd Mayweather Sr., and is now employing the services of Eddie Mustafa Muhammad. Now, on May 27, 2009, Dawson vacated the IBF light heavyweight title to negotiate a rematch with Glen Johnson which is the fight we have pending this month.

Dawson defeated Glen Johnson by unanimous decision in April 2008. After that he defeated Antonio Tarver convincingly twice in the span of six months and now he will set to face Johnson in a rematch at XL Center. Dawson (28-0, 17 KO).

Johnson commented on the fight: “this fight means a lot to me because it will let me know where I’m at,” Johnson said. “I am 40 years old and I’m fighting Dawson who is a young man. It’s been well-documented that he’s the most talented super-middle, light heavy, cruiserweight out there. Therefore it’s really going to let me know where I am. “That’s the most important thing.”

At this point we have to balance Experience vr Speed. Dawson is young while Johnson is more than 10 years older. We have the LIVE LINES of the fight and it’s a hot pick. Johnson is the one that is going to win this fight in my personal experience. The odds are available and it’s the time to start picking the winning guy. More information here.
