Bouncing back Detroit Lions (5-2) at Denver Broncos (2-4) These last two weeks, one of this year’s surprises, the Detroit Lions have lost both games, falling from undefeated to a 5-2 record, letting their fans down and falling at home against San Francisco and Atlanta but this weekend they have their chance to overcome those two losses and bounce back against the Denver Broncos who have just changed their path to start Tim Tebow as their quarterback and putting Kyle Orton on the bench. |

The Detroit Lions started the season surprising everyone on the league winning their first five games with outstanding performances by Matthew Stafford (1912 passing yards and 16 touchdowns) and Calvin Johnson (679 passing yards and 10 touchdowns) but the fairy tale ended two weeks ago with a surprising loss against the 49ers, a team that just woke them up and pointed their lacks of running game and how much they struggle defending the run, but they seemed like they didn’t learn the lesson and committed the same mistakes last week against the Atlanta Falcons, now let’s see if they have worked on that through this week. The Denver Broncos started the season falling short to their expectations, they brought former Panthers’ coach Jon Fox and since the moment he stepped on the Arrowhead Stadium the controversy around the starting quarterback and he decided to give Kyle Orton (979 passing yards and 8 touchdowns) the job, but after a 1-4 record and a bye week, he had to leave Orton on the bench and give the starting quarterback job to Tim Tebow (240 passing yards and 3 touchdowns), who woke some sort of Tebow-Mania around Denver and then it came to last week’s game against the Dolphins and after struggling the whole game, Tebow pulled some magic and tied the game, to win on overtime a couple of minutes later. But I think Tim Tebow is being overrated by most of the country, because a couple of successful drives don’t make enough credit to be named as the Broncos savior, and this week the test for Tebow and his fellow mates will just be 100% more difficult and it will be a better way to measure how much Tebow can contribute to the team. Detroit averages 353 total yards per game (most of them through the air), 27.7 scored points and 19.6 allowed. Denver has an average of 304 total yards per game, with 20.5 points scored and 25.8 allowed. The line for the game has the Lions favorite by 3 points and the total set on 42, and I will recommend you to take the Lions here to win this game and cover that field goal easily by even a touchdown or more.
