The Florida State Seminoles (2-4, 1-4 ATS) and the North Carolina Tar Heels (4-2, 1-3 ATS) will face each other this Thursday October 22nd  at the Kenan Stadium located at the city of Chapel Hill (North Carolina). The game is schedule to start at 8:00 PM ET and is going to be televised Nationwide on ESPN and also ESPN 360.This is probably one of the most waited matches since the beginning of the year. After all Florida State was suppose to make their climb back towards contending for the ACC Title and North Carolina was expected to do the same down in Chapel Hill. However we are now midway through the season and neither one of these two teams has yet to score a conference victory. This game in fact, was supposed to be matched between two of the top teams in the ACC, but in this case, is going to be matched with two of the bottom dwellers this Thursday night.

On one hand, North Carolina’s first loss of the season may have been expected in a 24-7 loss against Georgia Tech, but a loss a week later to Virginia 16-3 made it obvious that the Tarheels were not perhaps as good as they had hoped.

On the other hand , the Seminoles defense is the biggest reason they have experienced the hardship this season. Outside of the poor pass defense, the rest of the defense has been just as bad. The Seminoles are allowing 172 yards per game on the ground and allowing 28.2 points per game. The defensive struggles run parallel to their ACC record of 0-3. The defense has given up 38 points on average in their first 3 conference games and if a team gives up that many points then the wins are going to be minimal despite how good or bad the offense performs.

We can see some numbers for both of the teams and then we will be able to make a wise decision choosing the safer pick for the game. Here there are:

Total Yards
FSU has 426.0 which ranks them at the 27th place
UNC has 282.2 which ranks them at the 117th place

Passing Yards
FSU has 315.7 which ranks them at the 11th place
UNC has 184.8 which ranks them at the 105th place

Rushing
FSU has 128.5 which ranks them at the 83rd place
UNC has 110.7 which ranks them at the 102nd place

Points
FSU has 29.8 which ranks them at the 52nd place
UNC has 22.5 which ranks them at the 98th place

So, as you can see, everything is ready to start the game. The LIVE LINES are up and running and we can see that there is a lot of action on the game. I really think that North Carolina has this one, but you never know is the Seminoles are going to do what they are suppose to…. Take some action on the game now!!!! More information here.
