Utah State Aggies look to beat BYU like Last Year!

Friday night lights will be in full motion this Friday in UTAH, when the Utah State Aggies travel to in state Rivals BYU to play the Cougars at LaVelle Edwards Stadium. The Stadium used to be names Cougar Stadium, but in 2000 after legendary head coach LaVelle Edwards retired at the end of the season the school decided to rename the stadium in order to honor their best coach of all time.

Currently the Stadium accommodates around 63,725 spectators yet they somehow managed to set an attendance record in 1993 when they played the Fighting Irish and managed to get 66,247 people into the Stadium which since it was opened in 1964 to the present has not been beaten and probably won`t unless they add to the structure.

When it comes to College Football there is not much better than an In State Rivalry which is what we get this Friday at 8pm when these two Schools face one another and the game will be aired nationally on ESPN. Though the two teams are going thru a rough patch that to me won`t have too much of an effect on the game because neither team want to lose this given game so the players have the tendency to throw in a extra effort in order to try to perform at their max of their abilities. Right now Utah State has won one game and lost two their first game came at Auburn which was a close call barely losing 42-38 then they came out and destroyed Weber State 54-17 their second loss came to Colorado State in an heart breaking 35-34 loss in Overtime. The Cougar of BYU stand with two wins and one of the losses came to a Ranked Texas in Longhorns territory by a single point, but they had a terrible showing at home versus Utah whom beat them 54-10.

Last year the two teams faced one another on October 1st at Utah State and it was the Aggies that took the game with a score of 31-16, this year we are at BYU and the Cougars are favorites to win by seven and a half points. If you ask me I like the Aggies on the spread especially considering that when the line first came out it was Cougars favorite by ten and it has dropped. Maybe one should stay away from this game, but me personally will play a small wager on the Aggies.
